Registered Behavior Technician
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training course is a 100% online, self-paced program that provides the 40 hours of training required by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) for RBT certification. Developed and taught by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst in the KU Department of Applied Behavioral Science, the course covers core topics in applied behavior analysis, including ethics, behavior assessment, skill acquisition, and behavior reduction techniques. Upon completion, students are prepared to take the RBT Competency Assessment and certification exam, gaining foundational skills for careers in behavioral health and education.

Community Health Worker Network (CHW-Network)
Community Health Worker Network courses developed by the KU Medical Center Department of Family Medicine and Community Health Research Division, are designed to equip community health workers and organizations with the practical skills and knowledge needed to build, sustain, and strengthen effective CHW programs. CHWs are being utilized across a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, schools, health departments and community-based organizations, with growing roles in behavioral health, chronic disease prevention, maternal and child health and emergency response. These courses focus on real-world application providing CHWs with the knowledge and tools needed to optimize their performance through lectures and pragmatic activities including supervisory skills. Training areas include behavioral health, chronic disease management, maternal and child health, and emergency response, with an emphasis on addressing social determinants of health and advancing health equity. As demand for CHWs continues to grow, these courses support a prepared workforce capable of improving health and social outcomes across diverse communities.

Global Education Academy
The KU School of Education and Human Sciences’ Global Education Academy offers professional development for educators, with coursework that can be stacked toward graduate credit. Courses focus on the Comprehensive, Integrated, Three-Tiered (Ci3T) model — a proactive framework designed to prevent academic and behavioral challenges before they escalate. Through universal screening, differentiated instruction, and positive behavior interventions, Ci3T equips educators with tiered support strategies that promote students' academic success, meaningful school engagement, and overall well-being.
