Kansas Fire and Rescue Training Institute
The Kansas Fire & Rescue Training Institute (KFRTI) provides accessible, high-quality training and credentialing for fire and emergency response personnel across Kansas. Established by state law in 1949, KFRTI eliminates the need for travel by bringing certified instructors and hands-on training directly to local jurisdictions. Training is available in-person, online, and through hybrid formats—offered at no cost to Kansas firefighters and emergency responders. Private industry training is also available for a fee.
