Special Operations
The Special Operations Training program area includes a diverse variety of training and credentialing, covering many technical rescue disciplines, typically falling within the scope of NFPA 1006 Standard for Technical Rescuer Professional Qualifications, and includes Hazardous Materials Technician, Chapter 7 of NFPA 470 Standard for Hazardous Materials/Weapons of Mass Destruction Emergency Response Personnel Professional Qualification.
Topics include training designed to meet National Certification for:
- Rope Rescue Awareness, Operations, and Technician, NFPA 1006, 2021 Edition
- Confined Space Rescue Awareness, Operations, and Technician, NFPA 1006, 2021 Edition
- Trench Rescue Awareness, Operations, and Technician, NFPA 1006, 2021 Edition
As well as National Certification testing for:
- Hazardous Materials Technician, NFPA 470, 2022 Edition
- Structural Collapse Awareness, Operations, and Technician, NFPA 1006, 2021 Edition
