Special Operations
The Special Operations Training program area includes a diverse variety of training and credentialing, covering many technical rescue disciplines, typically falling within the scope of NFPA 1006 Standard for Technical Rescuer Professional Qualifications, and includes Hazardous Materials Technician, Chapter 7 of NFPA 1072 Standard for Hazardous Materials/Weapons of Mass Destruction Emergency Response Personnel Professional Qualification.
Topics include training designed to meet National Certification for:
- General Requirement Qualification for NFPA 1006, 2013 edition (Introduction to Technical Rescue) (Qualification)
- Rope Rescue Technician Level 1 and 2
- Confined Space Rescue Technician Level 1 and 2
- Structural Collapse Technician Level 1 and 2
- Hazardous Materials Technician
