NFA Direct Delivery - Kansas Fire & Rescue

Kansas Fire & Rescue Training Institute
NFA Direct Delivery
Kansas Fire & Rescue Training Institute participates in the National Fire Academy's (NFA) course call process, bringing NFA curriculum and NFA-approved instructors directly to Kansas communities. These courses give fire and emergency services personnel access to nationally developed training without traveling to the National Emergency Training Center campus in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
Courses are delivered by NFA-approved instructors using NFA-developed materials, including instructor guides, student manuals, and course resources. Students who successfully complete an NFA Direct Delivery course receive an official NFA certificate of completion, recorded in the NFA national student database. There is no cost to participants or their organizations.
NFA Direct Delivery courses are available upon request and are typically offered as 2-day or 6-day sessions. Frequently requested courses include:
- Fire Officer Leadership in Supervision
- Firefighter Safety, Health and Wellness
- Fireground Leadership: Strategy and Tactics
- Community Risk Reduction
- Wildland Urban Interface Firefighting for the Structural Company Officer
