Washington State, Seattle & King County
Washington State has a statewide mask mandate for all individuals, regardless of vaccination status. This includes all indoor public settings like grocery, retail, theaters, and entertainment establishments. This health order affects everyone five years of age and older in public indoor settings and at large, outdoor events with 500 or more attendees, including sporting events, fairs, parades, and concerts.
King County requires proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test for everyone ages 12+ at outdoor events of 500 or more people, indoor recreational events or establishments, restaurants, and bars. The KU Aerospace Short Courses are held at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel—Seattle Southcenter, which places our event within this category.
Attendees should be prepared to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test upon arrival for the first day of classes.
U.S. Travel Guidelines and Requirements for International Travelers
The Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) requires all international air travelers aged two and older, regardless of nationality or vaccination status, to show documentation of a negative viral test result taken within one day of the flight’s departure to the United States before boarding. That includes all travelers – U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (LPRs), and foreign nationals.
Additionally, the CDC requires all non-immigrant, non-citizen air travelers to the United States to be fully vaccinated and to provide proof of vaccination status prior to boarding an airplane to the United States.
DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel—Seattle Southcenter
Local government rules for this hotel require proof of vaccination to access certain on-site amenities including dining and fitness facilities. For information about Hilton initiatives related to COVID, please visit covid.hilton.com.
