Lodging

A limited number of rooms has been reserved for course attendees at the same venue where the courses will be held, the San Diego Marriott Mission Valley. The standard single/double room rate is $194 plus applicable taxes. This offer also provides attendees a reduced on-site self parking rate of $19.00 per day (see below for details.) This room block will only be held until August 26, 2024, at 5 p.m. CT (unless depleted earlier). After this date, the room rate and availability cannot be guaranteed.

Transportation

From the Airport

The San Diego International Airport (SAN) is 8.1 miles (13km) from the hotel. Taxis and ride-share services are convenient means of transportation to the hotel.

Hotel Parking

Discounted parking of $25.00 is available to attendees who book lodging in the KU room block listed above.

IMPORTANT: Local attendees, as well as those who book outside the KU room block or stay at an alternate hotel will be charged $36.00 per day to park at the San Diego Marriott Mission Valley.

Additional travel notes

• The educational materials included with your course may include one or more course notebooks and textbook(s). Please note that these course materials will add additional weight to your luggage for the return trip home, and plan accordingly when packing.
• Don't forget to bring your business cards. The KU Aerospace Short Course event is an excellent place to network with industry peers.
