Frequently Asked Questions
The federal discount is available to all current federal government employees.
At this time, the discount is not available to:
- Registrants employed outside the federal government, including state employees.
- Family members of federal employees.
- Active-duty military service personnel.
- Employees contracted by the federal government.
- Retired federal employees.
- Participants in courses that have already started (subsequent discounts cannot be made).

No. The discount for federal employees is only available for the courses listed on the Federal Partnership page.
The list of Jayhawk Global courses eligible for the federal discount may occasionally change. Be sure to bookmark our web page and check back periodically for the eligible course list.
The federal discount for Jayhawk Global courses is currently active and available for all current federal employees when they register for any course listed on the Federal Partnership page.
Registration is subject to course availability, class size and seating limitations (if applicable).
Links to program-specific web pages are provided within the Federal Partnership page. Click the title of the program that interests you under the “Programs Available” list. You will either be linked directly to the specific website, or a program overview will be displayed that includes program-specific links. Those pages contain detailed program information, including course dates and times, fees, curricula, registration instructions and more.
You may also want to submit an information request form on the Federal Partnership page to begin receiving occasional email messages with details about upcoming courses and programs available through the federal partnership within your areas of interest.
Click the program or course title that interests you on our Federal Partnership page. You will either be linked directly to the specific website, or a program overview will be displayed that includes a specific link. Follow the link to view the registration information for the course, which includes your discounted registration fee.
To register for a course listed on our Federal Partnership page, you must first be employed by a department of the United States federal government. If you are eligible for the discount, click the title of the course or program in which you want to register. Follow the link to the program-specific landing page, which includes prompts for registration. When you are ready to register, follow our Five Easy Steps to Register. You will be required to use your federal discount code when you register: fgvt116. We offer several registration methods for your convenience, including online and by mail and fax.

The federal discount code for all federal employees is fgvt116. You will be required to enter this code when you begin the registration process for a Jayhawk Global course offering the federal discount. Please be aware that the code is case-sensitive.
The federal discount for the Jayhawk Global courses offered through the partnership has no current expiration date.
Yes, you may register for any Jayhawk Globalcourse. However, your federal discount will only apply to those courses listed on the Federal Partnership page.

Jayhawk Global typically offers non-credit training to working professionals to help them meet their professional development goals. Federal employees looking to earn academic credit toward a KU certificate or degree should consider the academic programs at the KU Edwards Campus. Through the federal partnership, KU Edwards Campus provides federal employees scholarships to discount tuition—10 percent off in-state* or 25 percent off out-of-state—for the programs listed here.
(*The KU Edwards Campus MetroKC tuition rate offers rates equivalent to in-state rates for Missouri residents who qualify.)
